Mild Spicy Texas Chili Tribal Coast Style

Ingredients

2 pounds of hamburger (80/20)

4 cups of water

3 tablespoons of chili powde

2 tablespoons of onion powder

1 1/2 tablespoons of salt

1 tablespoon of garlic powder

1 tablespoon of cumin

1/2 tablespoon of black pepper

1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies.

  1. Take 2 cups of water and put it into your crockpot and turn on high.
  2. In a large deep pan on medium heat, brown your 2 pounds of hamburger meat  (80/20) with 1 cup of water.  Make sure to break up your hamburger meat into smaller pieces while doing this.
  3. Once your hamburger meat has browned, add another cup of water and add all your ingredients, stirring frequently.  Remember, if you are the type that does a taste test and tweaks it, Just remember you are going to pour this contents into two more cups of water that is in the crockpot. This will dilute your chili. So be careful to change up the recipe before it goes into the crockpot.✌🏻
  4. Let it come to a simmer for 5 minutes stirring frequently and continue to break down the hamburger meat into smaller pieces.
  5. After simmering for 5 minutes pour all the contents from the pan into your crockpot.
  6. Put your lid on the crockpot, turn your crockpot on low then let it cook for 8-10 hours.  The longer the better. This is the secret to 5 star chili👍🏻
  7. Serve in bowl with or without white rice and saltine crackers on the side. Enjoy!
